Industrial visit to the “Thermal Power Plant, Gandhinagar” was organized on 18th February 2026, an as a part of the academic curriculum for “Power System-1” for the 4th semester students of the Electrical Engineering Department at Government Engineering College, Gandhinagar. This visit was conducted under the major activity head of “Technical / Research Skill”.

The Applied Mechanics Department organized an expert lecture on ‘Soil Investigation and Future Opportunities in Higher Studies and Entrepreneurship’ for 3rd and 5th semester Civil Engineering students on 21st August 2025. The session was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Chandresh H. Solanki, Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at SVNIT, Surat. He shared valuable knowledge with the students, providing both technical insights into soil investigation practices and guidance on career pathways in research, higher education, and entrepreneurship.

The Civil Engineering Department organized a one-day visit to the PDEU Innovation Centre for 5th semester students as a part of their Design Engineering course, providing them with an opportunity to learn and experience startup projects and their journeys toward innovation. The students were invited to PDEU’s flagship event, InnovationSetu ’25, where they celebrated achievements and explored future possibilities in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship.

BISAG-G Visit had been organized by Civil Engineering students of 5th semester for their course curriculum of Remote Sensing subject. The visit was arranged for two days with a 50 students per day with Faculty members Prof. Toral Vyas, Prof. Shilpa Parmar and Prof. Ghanshyam Savaliya on 20nd and 22nd August, 2025.

The Civil Engineering Department organized a one-day technical visit to Panam Dam and Kadana Dam, including the associated hydropower plant, for 7th semester students on 29th August,2025, as part of the course curriculum for the subject Irrigation Engineering. The visit provided students with practical exposure to irrigation systems connected with dams and highlighted the importance of hydraulic design in ensuring efficient water supply for irrigation. The visit was arranged and guided by Prof. Shilpa Parmar, with participation from 32 students.

The Civil Engineering Department organized a one-day visit to the Railway Engineering Workshop at Kaligam, Sabarmati, and the DFC Control Room on 22nd August 2025 as part of the course curriculum for the subject Railway Engineering for 7th semester students. The visit provided students with valuable practical exposure to industry-relevant railway engineering practices and infrastructure supporting smart cities. The visit was accompanied by Prof. Sandip Rathod and Prof. Ghanshyam Savaliya, with participation from 32 students.

The Civil Engineering Department organized a one-day construction site visit for 3rd semester students on 2nd August 2025 as part of the course curriculum for the subject Building Construction Technology. The students visited the Happiest Ananta (AB Group Developers) and Rudra Titanium Square project sites near K-7 Circle, Gandhinagar. The visit was conducted with 65 students under the guidance of faculty members Prof. Ghanshyam Savaliya and Prof. Shilpa Parma
